Armies

I bought Armies and have been using it in my game.

What I did was to adapt the Bodrins Watch scenario  from DDI's "Scales of War" adventure; the players have to stop a bunch of orcs from getting behind the dwarven fortress blocking a narrow mountain pass.

I first set up the battle where the dwarves and human allies are manning the walls of their keep, when they realize that orcs are getting behind their lines. We played two turns of the battle, with the pcs splitting up the dwarf forces.

Then, I shifted the focus/scale to the PCs trying to turn on the machine that will flood the tunnels the orcs are using. For every round the good guys failed to turn on the machine, I told them I would add 100 pts of orcs to the main battle!

This is as far as we have gotten. Next week, I will shift the focus back to the battle, allowing the the PCs to join in.
